CO₂ Control
Air Control Check
A gentle training marker for breath-control awareness — not a test, not maximal.
Duration
2 min
Pattern
Inhale 4s · Exhale 4s · Inhale 4s · Exhale 4s · Inhale 4s · Exhale 4s · Breath Hold 15s · Inhale 4s · Exhale 6s
Sit safely and breathe normally for about a minute. After a normal exhale, pause — only until the first clear desire to breathe, never longer — then return to calm nasal breathing. The timer is a ceiling, not a target. Never practise this in water, while driving, standing or anywhere unsafe.
Why this works
Noticing your first urge to breathe is a window into your breath-control awareness. It's a marker to return to over time — a way to see your practice, not a test to pass.
Gentle by design: breathe quietly through the nose where comfortable, never force, and stop if you feel dizzy or unwell. Training practice — not a medical treatment.
