BALANCE

Recovery Under Load

Supports post-effort downshift and recovery awareness.

Duration
3 min
Pattern
Inhale 3.5s · Exhale 7s

After a safe stop from exercise, sit or walk slowly. Breathe in for three to four seconds and let the exhale stretch to seven. Continue until the breath feels controlled again.

Why this works

After effort, a long exhale is the fastest way back to control. Extending the out-breath helps the system settle, so you recover with intention rather than just waiting it out.

Gentle by design: breathe quietly through the nose where comfortable, never force, and stop if you feel dizzy or unwell. Training practice — not a medical treatment.
